Children are incredibly expressive, they love to play, they love to be silly, they love to laugh, but they need to feel comfortable to show their true personalities. As you would expect we work quickly to minimise disruption to the nursery but we do spend a little more time with the kids than other companies, this enables the children time to settle and relax.
We operate a small team of highly trained photographers who know exactly how to work with children, have children themselves and understand how to get the best and most natural photographs from them.
We offer our nursery photography in the midlands only - Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Rutland.
Nursery managers get in touch below. We visit nurseries generally twice a year, but you can have just one visit of course. Our first is in June/July for the children’s ‘Graduation’ shoot. This session is shorter than our Christmas one as we only photograph the oldest children who are moving on to foundation year. We supply everything including the gowns, mortarboards and sashes. The Christmas shoot takes place in late October / early November. This gives the parents plenty of time to make their orders before Christmas.
During the shoot the photographer will ask for a member of staff to help bring the children in in small groups of 3-6, and also help with their names. This is the best way to work because the most confident children always tend to go first, often on their own accord, and therefore showing the less confident children ‘how to do it’, this method has never failed us and it beats bringing children through individually.
After the photo shoot has finished, we hand you a stack of cards to distribute to the parents. The instructions to order the images are printed on these cards. Photos are normally ready to view within two days, depending on the number of children.
